Dillon wins Kansas pole: #3-Austin Dillon, driving the RCR Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boat Chevrolet, was the fastest qualifer with a top speed of 169.966mph to win thte pole for the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway. This is Dillon's 2nd pole this season; his 9th career pole overall in just 35 starts. Rounding out the top ten were; #2-Clint Bowyer, #13-Johnny Sauter, #8-Nelson Piquet Jr., #33-Ron Hornaday Jr., #31-James Buescher, #29-Parker Kligerman, #22-Joey Coulter, #32-Brad Sweet, #30-Todd Bodine. On his qualifying lap, #4-Ricky Carmichael hit the wall coming out of turn two and will have to go to a backup truck. DNQ: #65-Stephan McCurley.(6-5-2011)

*Clint Bowyer(i) (second) posted his third top-10 start of 2011 and his first in one races at Kansas Speedway.
*Johnny Sauter (third) posted his second top-10 start at Kansas Speedway. It is his eighth in eight races this season.
*Nelson Piquet Jr. (fourth) was the fastest qualifying rookie.
*Kevin Harvick Inc. put three in top five: Bowyer 2nd, Piquet 4th and Hornaday 5th.
