This is his fifth pole in 72 NASCAR Nationwide Series races.
This is his first pole and 12th top-10 start in 2011. His last pole came on July 28, 2007 at Lucas Oil Raceway.
This is his first pole in five races at Phoenix International Raceway.
Carl Edwards(i) (second) posted his 30th top-10 start of 2011 and his 12th in 14 races at Phoenix International Raceway.
Trevor Bayne (third) posted his third top-10 start at Phoenix International Raceway. It is his 22nd in 28 races this season.
