NOTE:
The opinions expressed in any editorial/articles/blogs linked on this page or the site are not of the Jayski site
but are presented in the interest of giving readers a variety of points of views and some enjoyment.
Questions about their content, page design, colors or objections to those opinions
should be directed towards the author of the article or the site that posts it.
ALL of these links will take you to another site....these articles do NOT reside on the Jayski site.
NOTE II: just because folks send me links to stories/columns/blogs they find or to their sites
does not mean I am obligated to post them
I post links that interest me and that I think will interest my readers and that are appropriate for the site.
Blogs bashing NASCAR, the drivers or this site do not interest me and won't be posted
The site is not here to help sites/blogs get hits and page views....thanks
NOTE to authors of articles and blogs: have gotten some complaints recently from authors of articles/blogs who send me their links. I guess they didn't read below in my guidelines, which are there to stop such email, but......I am under NO obligation to post ANYTHING sent to me, news, rumors, blogs, articles links...etc. If it seems different, original, interesting, clear and decently written...I will CONSIDER it. I do not post a blog link just because someone reads a PR and posts info from that PR. Or if someone gathers a bunch of news from real newspaper / news site and makes a blog or notes section - do NOT expect me to link it. I check about 100 news/newspaper/magazine/nascar sites a day for article links. I get about 30-45 email requests [may use 15-20 of them]. I will NOT respond telling anyone why I didn't use something sent to me, just assume I didn't think it was right for the site. Many sites posted here, I have a good working relationship with them and they get the benefit of the doubt, newbies do not until I see how they post and what their agenda may be. This is not a message board/forum/fan page, where anyone can post and it is no one's right but my own to post something on the site or this page. Thanks and happy posting....
NOTE blogs: Jayski.com does NOT post blogs articles / posts or sites articles that are nothing more then posts of team or NASCAR PR's or transcripts; or are just notes of news reported thru out the week, reported on the site already. Blogs must be original content, opinions, clean of vulgar language, proper spelling / grammar and more then just one paragraph and must have contact info like email address posted there.

SORRY do NOT post Personal Podcasts or Youtube Videos
Performace Racing Network [PRN]
I do NOT post personal Youtube Videos or links to them
I also do not go for April Fools type articles or those humors jokes that poke fun at NASCAR, fans or drivers
or leads fans to believe something that is not true
I won't post article links to some site that is nothing but a rehash of a press release from a team or transcript
The articles / columns / blogs MUST be NASCAR related, even if they are, doesn't mean they will get posted if the 'article' is nothing but a Press Release, stats from other sites, etc.
to submit fan or other articles /column links, etc, please follow the below format
putting the info in place of the one shown as an example:
Racing Stories (site name)
http://www.racingstories.org/story/nascar.html (direct link)
I love NASCAR (article title)
by Joe Fan (author name, first and last)
just send the info, not the heading too (what is in parens...)
Article titles in ALL CAPS/UPPERCASE will not be linked.
But it is NASCAR not Nascar, I don't post links where folks can't use the proper word NASCAR
NOT Nascar or NA$CAR but NASCAR
Do NOT send links from driver specific sites / blogs
Five articles a day limit to fans site, if more are sent, I will choose what not to link to
I do NOT double post the same articles by the same writers, usually where I find them first
or who sends them to me first, if a writer prefers to have an article linked to a certain site
they must contact me. If the same article is changed to look diffferent in effort to get it reposted
I will stop using that site/author as links
I do link to some fan/personal blog sites/pages if they interest me
but won't let those who run blogs bully me into posting them
I do NOT link Blogs/Websites that are nasty, driver/NASCAR bashing or vulgar
any story on the blog/website must have a direct link to that particular article
not just a jump, main page or a page full of different commentary.
and if an article or site is just to bash drivers or NASCAR, all or certain ones, I will stop linking them
Articles that are just team/driver/track PR's or basic news will not be posted
and...just because someone submits a link, doesn't mean it will be posted and linked
if it interests me, it will be considered.
and it is NASCAR, I don't post nascar or NA$CAR or derogatory ways of posting NASCAR
This page gets 20,000-30,000 page views [by about 13,000 uniques] a DAY
NASCAR Announces Members Of Citizen Journalists Media Corps: NASCAR recently announced the members of the newly-formed "NASCAR Citizen Journalists Media Corps." This group of new media consists of a range of professional and amateur experience covering NASCAR. One common theme is that each site is dedicated to providing information about NASCAR to a growing readership. After a lengthy review process, which included evaluating independent Web sites on professionalism, reporting and commentary, and use of social networking tools, 28 sites [down to 25 as of 4-30-2011] were invited to be part of the new media corps. In addition, NASCAR Public Relations has launched a page on Delicious.com that provides links to each of the Citizen Journalists web sites.
Members of the corps will have the opportunity to apply for media credentials but like all media, will be expected to abide by the standards of professional conduct (i.e. no autographs, photos with drivers, etc.) They will also have access to other media-driven events and teleconferences and NASCAR's media-only website. NASCAR will provide access to the information, it's up to the journalists to tell the story. The traditional media that cover the sport on a day-to-day basis will continue to be the cornerstone of NASCAR news and information. However, as traditional news coverage continues to decline across the board for all sports, it is important to recognize the emerging media sources that provide unique points of view to growing audiences.
