9 Kasey Kahne
2010
Ford Budweiser Richard Petty Motorsports
George N. Gillett, Jr.
Richard Petty
Max Jones
Kenny Francis Yates/Roush
Kahne says he will look around at other teams since his contact is up at the end of 2010 and RPM is in turmoil with all ther mergers. Since Kahne has been at 'Evernham' they merged with Gillett, then Richard Petty and now with Yates Racing. At one time those three teams had 8-9 teams and now are at 4. (11-20-2009). RPM merges with Yates Racing in 2010 and run Fords with Kahne, Sadler, Allmendinger & Menard, Sorenson is the driver out and is looking for a 2010 ride. No word what car numbers will be used, but bet on #9, #19 & #43 staying, with #44 and #98 as the other number or a new number like #28 or #38 (9-10-2009). Budweiser signed in 2009 to a multi-year deal and Kahne is signed thru 2010.

Penske Racing
Roger Penske
Jay Guy Penske
Jay Guy comes over from the #78 Furniture Row Racing team to crew chief for Keselowski. Former crew chief Roy McCauley remains with Penske Racing and assumes a leadership role within the organization (11-30-2009). Brad Keselowski took over this ride at Texas in November 2009 with a new white paint scheme, the same scheme for 2010, will run full-time in 2010 and also run for the team in the Nationwide Series. David Stremme left after Talladega in November and is looking for a ride. Stremme supposedly reached a settlement with the team over his 2010 salary as he was signed thru 2010 (9-1-2009). Penske has denied any manufacturer changes in 2010 and will remain the only Sprint Cup team with Dodge support (7-13-2009). Verizon is signed thru 2010 and plans to continue to sponsor the team thru 2010, but will not be allowed to use its logos on the car

Biffle is signed thru 2011 and 3M returns as the primary sponsor in most of the 2010 races. Roush trimed down to four teams from five AFTER the 2009 season with the #26 team shuttering and Jamie McMurray heading to the #1 EGR team

Drew Blickensderfer Yates/Roush
Supposedly Valvoline will sponsor the car for three races in 2010, no idea which races (12-10-2009). The team needs sponsor for the other 15 races that Crown Royal and Valvoline are not on the car (11-25-2009). Crown Royal will be the sponsor for 18 races in 2010, moving over from the #26 team which will closed after the 2009 season (7-28-2009). DeWalt Tools will NOT return at the primary sponsor for the team in 2010. DeWalt had sponsored the team for roughly 25-30 races a season since 1999. Irwin Tools, which was on the #26 RFR team, looks like it will not return to sponsor a car in 2010. Unknown if 3-4 race each sponsors such as USG, Carhartt or R&L Carriers will return in 2010 (7-23-2009). Roush trimed down to four teams from five AFTER the 2009 season with the #26 team shuttering and Jamie McMurray heading to the #1 EGR team

JGR signed Busch to a new multi-year contract good thru at least 2012, but no ned year was mentioned (1-19-2010). Rogers named as crew chief as of Texas in November 2009, former crew chief Steve Addington ended up leaving JGR and becoing the crew chief for Kyle's brother Kurt at the #2 Penske Racing team. All sponsors return in 2010, and all paint schemes are posted. Busch is signed thru 2010 (7-9-2009)
19 Elliott Sadler
2010
Ford Stanley Tools Richard Petty Motorsports
George N. Gillett, Jr.
Richard Petty
Max Jones
Wally Rogers Yates/Roush
The AP reports that Best Buy will move from the #19 car to the #43 for a partial season [a diecast image confirmed it], with the teams still needing to find other sponsors for some races (10-28-2009). Per some paint schemes released, looks like Stanley Tools will be back as a primary sponsor and Best Buy in some form (10-19-2009). Indications are that RPM may now stay with Dodge in 2010 (8-28-2009). Sadler and GEM solved their differences and Sadler ran the car in 2009, but word is he could move on to another team in 2010 even thou he is signed thru 2010. RPM may switch to another manufacturer as Dodge has no made full payments, Toyota is rumored. Rumors have the team, downsizing to two or three cars, no word which teams/drivers could be dropped, if that happens (7-14-2009).

26 Boris Said Ford Window World Cars
(Daytona 500)
Bill Jenkins
Latitude 43 Motor Sports
Frankie Stoddard Yates/Roush
Said says the team plans to attempt at least the first five races of 2010, Roush Fenway Racing will provide the cars and engines. Said reports that the team could start-and-park if need be (1-29-2010). Roush fashioned a "comprehensive services contract" with Latitude 43 Motorsports that gives the new team a guaranteed start in the season-opening Daytona 500 using the 2009 owners' points accrued by Roush Fenway's #26 Ford. Jenkins has hired North Haverhill, N.H. native Frank Stoddard as crew chief. Said was rumored, but been told he will be the driver. Darnell could come over from Roush to run for Rookie of the Year as he doesn't have a 2010 ride (1-14-2010). Crew chief Donnie Wingo moves to the #6 car as the crew chief for David Ragan with Jimmy Fennig working on Roush Fenway's R&D team. Driver Jamie McMurray left and will drive the #1 Chevy for Earnhardt Ganassi Racing in 2010 (11-27-2009). Look for Roush to sell the owners points for the #26 or the #6 and the #6 using the #26 owners points, which was better in 2009. Look for a team like Front Row Motorsports 2nd team, #37 to get the owners points, since they moved to Ford and will get engines from Yates/Roush and techincal support from Ford. FRM #34 team is already in the top 35 in owners points. Roush needed to trim down to four teams from five AFTER the 2009 season and the #26 team ended up being the team that was shuttered (11-23-2009)
29 Kevin Harvick
2010
Chevy Shell/Pennzoil
?Reese's/Hershey Foods
Richard Childress Gil Martin Earnhardt-Childress Racing Engines
Harvick & Childress announced on August 31st that Harvick will return to the #29 car in 2010. No word if Reese's will be back in 2010 (8-31-2009). Childress issued a statement saying Shell and Harvick are both signed thru 2010 and will return next season. Harvick has been non-commital (7-26-2009). Harvick supposedly had asked to be released from his contract to go elsewhere in 2010, possibly to Stewart Haas Racing in a third team. Shell is signed thru 2010 and had been rumored to be leaving, but RCR says they will be back. RCR is rumored to be downsizing to 2-3 cars in 2010, but nothing official has been announced (7-13-2009)
31 Jeff Burton
2011
Chevy Caterpillar
Lenox Industrial Tools
Prilosec OTC
Richard Childress Todd Berrier Earnhardt-Childress Racing Engines
Looks like Lenox Industrial Tools and Prilosec OTC will retunr in 2010 to sponsor the car in some form (12-12-2009). Todd Berrier took over the crew chief duties after Martinsville in October with former crew chief Scott Miller taking over as RCR's director of competition (10-21-2009). Caterpillar is back in 2010 and Burton is signed thru 2011, no changes expected. RCR is deopa to three cars and closes the #07 due to lack of sponsor
