| 83 | Brian Vickers 2011 |
Toyota | Red Bull Energy Drink | Red Bull Racing Dietrich Mateschitz |
Ryan Pemberton | Toyota Racing Development (TRD) |
| Vickers contract ends at the end of 2011, adding him to a crowded free agent class, alot will depend on how he responds from his illness in 2011 (2-1-2011). Vickers tested at Walt Disney World Speedway in January and says he is cleared and ready to race (1-10-2011). Will run a silver paint scheme in 2011, all looks good for a return at Daytona in February (12-15-2010). Kahne finished up 2010 in this car and would stay in it if Vickers cannot return due to his illness. Scott Speed will probably be released from the #82 ride Kahne will take, unless Vickers cannot come back (10-25-2010). Kahne would like to use his 'own' number in 2011, supposedly #4, his one year at Red Bull before heading to Hendrick in 2012 (9-28-2010). Kahne has signed to run for Red Bull Racing for the 2011 season then take over the #5 Hendrick Motor Sports Chevy in 2012. No word which car Kahne will drive and RBR could start a 3rd team using the #81 or #84 (8-10-2010). Vickers sat out most of the 2010 season, since Dover in May due to having blood clots. Vickers is expected to return to the seat full time in 2011 (6-21-2010). Vickers announced he will not run the #83 for the rest of the season due to the blood clots, Mears filled in for two races, them is in the car for now and ran at Dover and the All-Star Challenge (5-21-2010)). Earnhardt Jr.'s Chevys will be prepared out of the renamed 48/88 shop alongside those of Jimmie Johnson (11-23-2010). Earnhardt stated that he has NO plans to ever run the #3 in any NASCAR series after running it in the Daytona Nationwide race in July 2010 (7-9-2010). TBA | TBA |
| No word on this team since the announcement in July 2010, emails to the team via their webiste go unanswered, the PR firm they dealt with doesn't any longer (1-12-2011). America's Racing Team launched July 2, 2010 after an announcement at Daytona International Speedway with more questions than answers about its future. Primary partners hope that fans will support the concept, through which they hope to enter a #76 car in the 2011 Daytona 500 [shown as a Chevy at the announcement]. Former Red Bull Racing competition director Elton Sawyer was named the competition advisor for the team. The fan owned / sponsored team is not a new concept and one that has never been successful in the long term. The team says fans will actually own a part of team with membership. The team offers annual memberships [$44.95 to $1,999.95 for different packages] with annual, three-year or five-year memberships.(7-2-2010) | ||||||
