Stock Car History Online Weekly Trivia Contest

Prize: The winner of the first trivia question will receive a copy of the 1987 Winston 500, held at Talladega Superspeedway. Bill Elliott qualified for the event with a mind-boggling speed of 212.892 mph, a record that still stands. The race is also memorable for a crash involving Bobby Allison that took out a lengthy stretch of catch-fencing. His son, Davey, went on to capture the first win of his Winston Cup career that very same day.
Contest continuous through December 31, 2009. A new question will be posted each Monday with the winner announced the following Friday. In the event of a tie, a drawing will be held to determine the winner.
