  • Cup Qualifying at Rockingham: Qualifying for the Subway 400 at North Carolina Speedway is being televised live on FSN - Fox Sports Net, and will be re-aired at 8:00pm/et tonight [Friday, Feb 21st] and Sat, Feb 22nd at 1:00am/et on Speed Channel.

    Qualifying can be heard on radio via MRN Radio and XM Satellite - NASCAR Radio - Channel 144.

  • Rain/Wet at the Rock UPDATE practice is over, modified schedule: is was misting at the North Carolina Speedway in Rockingham, NC but it has stopped and the Winston Cup cars were able to practice. #12-Ryan Newman was the fastest at 155.630, followed by #49-Ken Schrader at 154.370 and #25-Joe Nemecek at 154.065. Slowest was #37-Derrike Cope at 148.660 and #74-Tony Raines at 149.504. The Weather Channel reports a 70% chance of rain today and 80% on Saturday.
    Modified Schedule: NASCAR has revised today's schedule as follows (all times ET) -- 2:00 - 3:00 Winston Cup Practice, 3:05 - BGN qualifying, 4:15 - Winston Cup Qualifying (both are being shown live on Fox Sports Net), immediately following Cup qualifying will be 45 minutes of BGN Happy Hour.(unless it rains again)(BGN Racing.com)

Forty-Three(43) cars/drivers are listed, so all make the race and no provisionals will be charged if used. First driver scheduled out is #25-Joe Nemechek and last scheduled out is #38 Elliott Sadler.   • Some facts about the Rock: In the last five NASCAR Winston Cup races at North Carolina Speedway, the winner has come from 21st or deeper in the field. Last season, #17-Matt Kenseth won the Subway 400 from the 25th position and #10-Johnny Benson won the Pop Secret 400 from 26th.
