WOW, a huge fire in an RV in the infield around 7:20pm/et, the fire company got there quick and got it out fast...nice job! No one seriously hurt, one person had slight burns on their hand.
#17-Kenseth only ran one lap, as the engine started overheating and wanted to protect the engine.
The #0-Bliss team is reporting that they have an engine problem as Bliss had a transmission problem qualifying and over revved the engine, but someone on the team reset the Tach and crew chief Bootie Barker has no proof there is a problem, the team already changed transmissions after practice and will have to go to the rear of the field anyway.
After #18-Labonte went out, there was a slight delay as a turtle was on the track and he track worker seemed afraid of it.(7-1-2005)
