Race Comments: Before an estimated crowd of 40,000 (originally 145,000 on Aug. 17), Kurt Busch won the twice-postponed (due to inclement weather on Aug. 17 and 18) 3M Performance 400, his 17th career NASCAR NEXTEL Cup victory. Prior to the green flag the following drivers dropped to the rear for the reasons indicated: #31 Burton, #1 Truex Jr. (engine change); #8 Earnhardt Jr., #26 McMurray (transmission change).
