NOTES:
· WHEN 13TH WINS, EVERYBODY LOSES GROUND: Mark Martin’s dramatic win at Chicagoland brought a lot of teams back to the “danger zone” in the ’09 Race to the Chase. Carl Edwards’ 14th dropped him 63 points closer to 13th, but he still has a relatively comfortable 153-pt margin for now. More adverse was Khyle B usch’s 33rd, which dropped him 120 points and left him only 13 points ahead of 13th. Matt Kenseth’s 23rd lost him 90 precious points, and the #17’s bid to join Jimmie Johnson as the only two teams to make all six Chases is now looking shaky, with only 10 points separating 12th place Kenseth from 13th place Greg Biffle. Biffle’s 31st dropped him from 9th all the way out of the T12.
