Qualifying canceled at Pocono: Rain at Long Pond, PA caused the qualifying for the Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono Raceway to be canceled and the field was set by the NASCAR Rules book: Top 35 in owners points, past winner as owner [#09], then the remaining seven cars by race attempts. Since there are only 43 cars at the track, no drivers/teams will go home this week. It is the fifth time in 2009 that qualifying has been rained out. #14-Stewart will start first [no credit for winning a pole nor the award], #48-Johnson, #24-Gordon, #2-Busch, #99-Edwards, #11-Hamlin, #39-Newman, #9-Kahne, #5-Martin and #42-Montoya. See the starting lineup below.(7-31-2009)
