#88-Earnhardt Jr. was scheduled to go out 2nd, but he broke a fuel cable during practice, the team fixed it and it broke again, so the team is redoing the complete fuel system, NASCAR has excuded the #88 from their place in qualifying. #71-Labonte's car was on the 5 minute clock and was going thru inspection towards the end of qualifying and put on the 5-minute clock but failed to make it on the track and will start 42nd.
