Johnson wins at New Hampshire: #48-Jimmie Johnson won the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 Sprint Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for his 3rd win at the track, 5th win of the season and 52nd of his career. It is the eighth time in Johnson's career that he has won races back-to-back. #14-Stewart finished 2nd followed by #2-Busch, #24-Gordon, #29-Harvick, #39-Newman, #33-Bowyer, #88-Earnhardt Jr., #20-Logano and #43-Allmendinger. Pole sitter #42-Montoya got together with #33-Boyer late in the race and damaged the splitter while running in the top-5. Montoya fell back, then got together with #83-Sorenson and ended up in the wall, finishing 34th. #9-Kahne, who started 2nd and was running up front most of the day, had a motor expire on lap 236, finishing 36th. Points leader #29-Harvick saw his points lead decrease to 105 [from 140] with Johnson back in 2nd.
There were 14 lead changes among 9 drivers and 4 cautions for 19 yellow flag laps. The attendence was reported at 91,000, down from 101,000 last June.
