- Atwood to run #95 at Homestead: Casy Atwood will attempt to make the Ford 400 Nextel Cup race at Homestead-Miami Speedway in the #95 Scott Shop Towels Ford for Brewco Motorsports in cooperation with Stanton Barrett Jr. This weekend’s Ford 400 marks the first time Kimberly-Clark will sponsor a NASCAR Nextel Cup entry. The company, which has been a sponsor in the Busch Series for 13 years, features all of its brands on the NBS #27 Brewco Motorsports Kleenex Ford. In three Cup starts at Homestead, Atwood has two top-10 finishes. Over those three races, his average starting position is sixth place. Atwood has 75 starts in Nextel Cup competition. The Associate Sponsor on the #95 Ford is Sam’s Club, the nation's largest warehouse club with more than 49 million members nationwide. Atwood’s top finish at Homestead came in only his second Nextel Cup start at the speedway in the 2001 race, where he started second and finished third, leading 52 laps along the way. “I’m also excited to be the first person to drive a Cup car for
Kimberly-Clark. They’ve been such a great sponsor in the Busch Series for so long. We appreciate their support there and now here in the Cup race, so we’ll do everything we can to get the #95 Scott Shop Towels Ford in victory lane this Sunday.”(Brewco Motorsports PR)(11-15-2006)
- Brewco to attempt Homestead with Atwood: Brewco Motorsports, in cooperation with Stanton Barrett Motorsports, will attempt to field a #95 Ford for Casey Atwood in the Nextel Cup season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway next month. "Every year we've said we're going to run 10 races," Brewco Motorsports President Todd Wilkerson said Thursday. "With all these Cup drivers getting the extra practice, we felt it was a good time [to enter]." Wilkerson said the team is working on putting together a sponsorship package for 10 races next season and has had very preliminary discussions with Barrett about trying to team up to field a car throughout the entire 2007 season. The team, which will enter a Ford, will have sponsorship from one of Kleenex's brands for the Homestead race. Atwood, who replaced David Green in the #27 Busch Series Ford last month, will drive the remainder of the Busch races this season and the Cup race at Homestead, Wilkerson said. "We haven't made a 100% decision on next year," Wilkerson said. "We don't have to decide right now, so we're not going to." Atwood tested at Homestead earlier this week and ran well. Shawn Parker will oversee the program, but Busch Series crew chiefs Newt Moore and Stewart Cooper also will play pivotal roles in the setup and on race day, Wilkerson said.(SceneDaily.com)(10-20-2006)

Barrett, who failed to qualify for today's Pennsylvania 500, will also attempt to qualify for races at Bristol, Loudon and Phoenix, team owner Rick Ware said Friday. The team also is hoping to add Charlotte, Texas and Homestead as it works on finalizing a sponsor and a program for 2007.. The team ran the #52 at Pocono but would like to run the #30 in races later this year, Ware said. Ware also plans on entering the Dover race in September with driver Donnie Neuenberger.(Scene Daily.com)(7-23-2006)
- Interush to sponsor Barrett at Sonoma: Stanton Barrett Motorsports will have Interush as the primary sponsor on the #95 Chevy for this weekend for the Dodge/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway. Interush is an affiliate driven Internet Advertising and Marketing company which takes U.S. based technology to the Asian markets. Interush, already featured as an associate sponsor in previous NASCAR Nextel Cup races this season, will be on the #95 throughout the second half of the season, running as primary and associate sponsors for Barrett.(Stanton Barrett Motorsports PR) (6-22-2006)
- Barrett goes to school: #95-Stanton Barrett will visit Infineon Raceway on Monday, May 8, for a day of on-track instruction with the Jim Russell Racing Schools, which is based at the raceway. Barrett has not competed in a NASCAR NEXTEL Cup feature race at Infineon Raceway and is hopeful the day of instruction will help his qualifying effort during the Dodge/Save Mart 350 weekend (June 23-25). Barrett, a stuntman by trade from Hollywood, has earned a best finish of 33rd in four starts this year.(Infineon Raceway PR)(5-6-2006)
