In a caution-filled race, #7-Justin Allgaier won the Steakhouse Elite 200 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Darlington Raceway. The win is his second win of the year, having also won at Atlanta Motor Speedway in March.
#8-Josh Berry finished second, followed by #19-Brandon Jones, #9-Noah Gragson and #18-Daniel Hemric.
#51-Jeremy Clements, #1-Michael Annett, #02-Brett Moffitt, #39-Ryan Sie and, #36-Alex Labbe rounded out the top 10.
After crossing the finish line in fourth, Gragson’s car initially failed post-race inspection for an issue with the rear suspension mounting. However, JR Motorsports won the appeal on Wednesday (May 12), giving Gragson his finishing position back.
#22-Austin Cindric won the first stage under caution, while #20-Harrison Burton won the second stage, his first stage victory of the 2021 season.
There were 13 lead changes among seven drivers and nine cautions for 43 laps.
The average speed of the 200-mile race was 98.739 mph.
