Despite starting the race at the rear for changing a battery during pace laps, #7-Justin Allgaier soared to the front to win Saturday’s Mahindra ROXOR 200 Xfinity Series race at Darlington Raceway. The win is Allgaier’s first in 364 days, while he led a race-high 76 laps. JR Motorsports has three consecutive wins by different drivers.
Winning both stages, #9-Noah Gragson finished runner-up. It’s Gragson’s series-high eighth top-five finish of the season. #98-Riley Herbst finished third, with #26-John Hunter Nemechek and #1-Sam Mayer rounded out the top five.
#10-Landon Cassill placed sixth, as #19-Brandon Jones, #16-AJ Allmendinger, #21-Austin Hill and #11-Daniel Hemric made up the rest of the top 10.
There were 13 lead changes among six drivers and eight cautions for 33 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was 107.589 mph.
