In a strategy-filled Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, #17-Chase Elliott won his first race in over eight seasons. It’s his sixth career victory and first at Charlotte. It’s the second win of the season for Hendrick Motorsports.
#9-Brandon Jones earned his first top-five finish of the season in second, just a half-second behind Elliott. #8-Sammy Smith also tallied his best finish of the season in third. #1-Sam Mayer and #16-AJ Allmendinger rounded out the top five.
#33-Kyle Busch, #39-Ryan Sieg, #11-Josh Williams, #20-Ty Gibbs and #30-Noah Gragson complete the top 10.
#7-Justin Allgaier won both stages but finished 33rd after getting involved in a wreck late in the race. #1-Mayer led a race-high 44 laps.
There were 23 lead changes among nine drivers and eight cautions for 45 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 115.053 mph.

Lap 200: #17-Elliott wins by a half-second over #9-Jones. #8-Smith, #1-Mayer and #16-Allmendinger round out the top five. #33-Busch, #39-Sieg, #11-Williams, #20-Gibbs and #30-Gragson complete the top 10.
Lap 183: #21-Hill and #00-Custer make contact on the frontstretch, cutting the right-front tire entering Turn 1. Both got into the wall in Turns 1 and 2 and then Hill dumped Custer on the backstretch.
Lap 182: #17-Elliott takes the lead on the restart with fresh tires.
Lap 175: #7-Allgaier went to clear #20-Gibbs off Turn 4 and was clipped by Gibbs and turned into the outside wall.

Making his second start of the 2024 Xfinity Series season, #20-Ty Gibbs won the pole (177.194 mph) for the BetMGM 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It is his eighth career pole and his first pole on an intermediate track.
#33-Kyle Busch will start alongside Gibbs on the front row in second (176.482 mph). #81-Chandler Smith will start from third position (176.246 mph), with Jesse Love (175.873 mph) and #27-Jeb Burton (175.496 mph) rounding out the top five.
#00-Cole Custer and #18-Sheldon Creed ran the same exact speed for sixth position, with Custer getting the tiebreaker. #21-Austin Hill, #7-Justin Allgaier and #9-Brandon Jones complete the top 10.
