Darlington Raceway announces two NASCAR weekends for 2027 schedule

Darlington Raceway today announced its 2027 NASCAR schedule, highlighted by two marquee race weekends that continue the tradition of bringing the sport’s biggest stars and most meaningful races to the Track Too Tough To Tame.

The 2027 season begins with a spring tripleheader weekend, April 2-4, featuring all three NASCAR national series. The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series kicks off the action on Friday, April 2, followed by the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series on Saturday, April 3. The weekend culminates on Sunday, April 4, with the NASCAR Cup Series Goodyear 400, as the sport’s top drivers take on one of the most challenging and historic tracks in motorsports. The weekend will also feature the return of the fourth annual NASCAR Alumni Weekend, bringing former NASCAR competitors together with fans and today’s NASCAR stars.

NASCAR will then return to Darlington Raceway on Labor Day Weekend with another unforgettable celebration of NASCAR tradition. The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series returns on Saturday, Sept. 4, before the NASCAR Cup Series closes out the regular season with the prestigious Cook Out Southern 500 on Sunday, Sept. 5. As one of NASCAR’s crown jewel events, the Cook Out Southern 500 promises high stakes, rich tradition and unforgettable moments as drivers make their final push to secure postseason momentum.

Below are the dates for the 2027 NASCAR races at Darlington Raceway:

April 2-4

  • Friday, April 2 – NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Buckle Up South Carolina 200
  • Saturday, April 3 – NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help a Hero 200
  • Sunday, April 4 – NASCAR Cup Series Goodyear 400

Sept. 4-5

  • Saturday, Sept. 4 – NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series
  • Sunday, Sept. 5 – NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out Southern 500
