Kyle Busch will make his final Xfinity Series start of the 2019 season this weekend when he climbs behind the wheel of the No. 18 Combos Toyota Supra at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In his previous six starts at the famed 2.5-mile track, Busch has three wins (2013, 2015 and 2016) and four top-five finishes. All three of his wins in the Xfinity Series have come from the pole starting position. Busch also has 14 starts at the track in the Cup Series, capturing two wins (2015 and 2016), five top-five finishes and 11 top-10 finishes. Busch swept the race weekends in 2015 and 2016.
Joe Gibbs Racing has 22 total starts Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In those 22 starts, JGR has earned three wins at the track and eight top-five finishes and 13 top-10 finishes. The team has four pole starting positions, has led 279 laps, completed 2,045 of 2,089 attempted laps (97.9 %) and earned an average start of 5.3 and average finish of 10.4. Busch has earned all three wins for the team, kissing the bricks in 2013, 2015 and 2016.
For his last Xfinity Series start of the 2019 season, Combos will be featured on the No. 18 Toyota Supra with Busch behind the wheel in the driver’s seat.
With 95-career Xfinity Series wins to his name, Busch is five wins shy of his goal of reaching 100-career Xfinity Series wins. This weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be Busch’s last chance to add to the win column this season.
