NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be pulling double duty this weekend at Pocono Raceway. Along with being an analyst for the Cup Series race on Prime Video, he will fill in for Mardy Lindley as crew chief of the No. 88 Chevrolet in the Xfinity Series for Connor Zilisch in the Explore the Pocono Mountains 250.
Lindley is serving a one-week suspension after the No. 88 car had two missing lug nuts following the Xfinity race at Nashville Superspeedway at the end of May. JR Motorsports deferred the penalty following the series’ return to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
This will be Earnhardt’s first race as crew chief. He is a two-time champion of the series with 24 career victories.
This weekend, @DaleJr will be filling in for Mardy Lindley as crew chief of the No. 88 as Lindley serves his one race suspension for loose lugnuts following the NXS race in Nashville two weeks ago.
