Steve Grissom released after Richmond, Bickle takes over at NHIS on the interim. Jerry Nadeau and the team parted ways after Michigan so the team could evualate a driver. Steve Grissom takes over for Bristol is a race-to-race deal. Running many different paint schemes(WCW, Atlanta Braves, Jetsons, Dexter, Goldberg). Newt Moore takes over as the crew chief, Jeff Buice stays as Team Mgr. Team owner Harry Melling passed away in early June. Nadeau back for 1999, sponsor to be Turner networks, Cartoon Network, WCW(wrestling), etc

Switched back to Pro-Motors at Indy for the rest of 1999 after using Penske engines. Tide gone after 1999, looking for a sponsor and/or a partner. McSwain comes over from the #98 after California. Joe Garone took the crew chief job with the new PPI BGN team. Joe Garone was being considered but took the BGN McDonalds deal instead. Crew Chief Bill Ingle and Rudd have parted ways after spring Atlanta race. Switches to Penske engines from Pro Motors

Randy LaJoie tested the car and will probably run the oval races. The team will have Said in for the two road courses and possibly Fontana, team plans to run eight events in 1999 – others: Texas, Indy, Loudon(9/19), Charlotte(10/10) and Homestead

Back to the #15, Cope to run at Charlotte/Lowes and Atlanta and full time in 2000. Missed the Brickyard 400 as the #62 not sure when next attempt will be. Was the #15 Bud Moore team, bought by Finley Motorsports just before Indy, it’s first attempt. The AMVETS deal has fallen thru and the team may sell. Joey Knuckles was the crew chief but is working for the #38 in the BGN. Rumor has AMVETS signing on as the sponsor. Missed Daytona, unsure of 1999 plans. One race deal th the Daytona 500 with Jeff Green driving. Not sure if Knuckles is still with the team. Robinson and Rescue split, no idea

Benson bought himself out of his Roush contract and Cheerios leaves at the end of the 1999 season. Pat Tryson moves over to the #16 crew chief job. This team will probably not exist in 2000. Benson asked for his released which was not granted. Benson signed thru July 2000. Bobby Leslie replaced by Tryson before Richmond. Was rumored on the hot seat, but Benson and Roush squashed that rumor. No real changes

Tested at Charlotte during GM testing on May 5-6th, didn’t attempt the race, unknown status

Doug Richert left as crew chief after Talladega to work on Cal Wells team. Irwin gone at end of season. Yates is looking at drivers. Texaco contract runs out at end of 1999, Yates hopes to resign them soon. Slight paint change, orange around the bottom instead of yellow. Teams moves to a different location away from the #88, Richert comes over form the #91 team. Slugger Labbe out as crew chief

Todd Bodine runs at Phoenix and Homestead, unknown at Atlanta, but Andy Hillenburg is possible. Mike Bliss agreed to run the rest of the 1999 season and 2000 but left after Kodiak backed out of a 2000 sponsorship with the team. Buckshot Jones ran at Talladega. Bliss at Rockingham, Homestead. Todd Bodine runs at Bristol, Charlotte. Derrike Cope left after the August Michigan race. T&L Motors takes over the engine program. Dodson joined team on Aug 2nd as crw chief, not sure what happens to Dan Glauz. New owner, Chuck Rider sells just before the Brickyard 400, Cope to stay for now. Cope on the hot seat? Sponsor gone after 1999 season? Announcement on Sara Lee, Jan 12th. Gumout gone

Rick Bickle released after Darlington. Bickle just signed a multi-year deal with the team. Team may start a 2nd Cup team and a BGN team. James Ince named crew chief after California. Bill Ingle was the interim crew chief for three races(Martinsville, Talladega, California) then left after California. Phil Hammer released as the crew chief after missing Bristol. 10-10-345 Lucky Dog Phone Company come aboard as the sponsor, #45 is the number. Probably switch to a different #, not #35 or #17 hearing it’ll be #45. Signed Bickle. Tabasco is out for 1999
