Nadeau hurt at Richmond in May and Jason Keller drove the car, no word on who drives the car until Nadeau is ok. USG – Sheetrock will be the primary sponsor for four races: Las Vegas, Chicago, Watkins Glen and Talladega. Was the #36 (with M&M’s and Skittles for years). Ryan Pemberton returns to the team (was at the #77). US Army will sponsor the car in 27 races and be an associate for 9 races, team still looking for a primary for the 9 races. Nadeau will be the driver. M&M’s will leave to Yates.

Switching to Dodge for a limited number of Cup races in 2003.

Ward Burton supposedly will take over as of Atlanta for the rest of the year and drive the car full time in 2004. Leffler named full time driver for 2003 starting at Darlington in Aug and for the 2004 season. Jason Leffler to run at Indy, Andretti expected back afterwards. Jack Sprague released after Chicago. Andretti to run at Loudon and Pococo, and maybe after Indy, but is committed to run the #81 DEI chevy at Indy. No driver named yet for Indy. Furr takes over as crew chief after Talladega in April, replacing long time team crew chief, Dennis Conner. Conner will stay with the team in another capacity [ended up leaving and going to the #2 Truck team]. Tony Furr comes over from the #4 team as a consultant type after Texas. Will be #0 instead of the #60 it ran in 2002. NetZero will move up to Cup with Sprague. The team will run the full 2003 Cup season.

Tim Brewer is with the team as a consultant. Rumors have Kodak leaving for DEI and Skinner not being re-signed for 2004. John Andretti released after Pocono in June, Fittipaldi to run the car for the rest of 2003 with the except to the four races scheduled in the #44 (Daytona, Watkins Glen, Talladega and Lowe’s). Putnam takes over as crew chief, Brandon Thomas left and went back to Gibbs. Andretti will stay in 2003 and possible run the Indy 500. Cheerios is signed thru at least 2003.

Was to run Cup, BGN and ARCA until taking over the #43 after Andretti was released in June. Georgia Pacific to move to the #45. #44 to be used for Christian Fittiapadi running part time in 2003, BGN, ARCA and Cup. Greg Steadman moved over from the #43 in mid 2002. Buckshot Jones started the 2002 season in the car but was released after Martinsville in April. Jerry Nadeau and Steve Grissom also drove the car in 2002.
