Denny Hamlin finds redemption with Playoff victory at ISM Raceway: Out, demon! Denny Hamlin’s exorcism is complete. At ISM Raceway, the site of one of his biggest disappointments, Hamlin barged back into the Championship 4 with a dominating victory in Sunday’s Bluegreen Vacations 500. Hamlin joins Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch, Sunday’s runner-up, in the Nov. 17 race for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series title at Homestead-Miami Speedway. #11-Denny Hamlin won the Bluegreen Vacations 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at ISM Raceway. The win is his 6th win of 2019, 2nd win at Phoenix and 37th career win. The win locked Hamlin into the Championship race at Homestead.
Pole winner #18-Busch finished 2nd followed by #12-Blaney, #42-Larson, #4-Harvick, #19-Truex, Jr., #20-Jones, #14-Bowyer, #22-Logano, #2-Keselowski.
Drivers who will compete for the Championship: #19-Truex, Jr., #4-Harvick, #11-Hamlin, and #18-Busch
Drivers who were eliminated from the Playoffs: #22-Logano, #42-Larson, #12-Blaney and #9-Elliott.
The only playoff driver having trouble was #9-Elliott. He cut a tire down on lap 165 and backed into the outside wall. He was unable to continue and finished 39th.
