Mexican Daniel Suárez wins first career NASCAR Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway: The top-four finishing drivers Sunday were all looking for their first win of the season. Front Row Motorsports driver Michael McDowell finished third, followed by Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick in fourth. This year’s Daytona 500 winner, Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate Austin Cindric was fifth, followed by his Team Penske Racing teammate Ryan Blaney. Suárez’s Trackhouse Racing teammate Ross Chastain was seventh, followed by Hendrick Motorsports drivers Chase Elliott and William Byron.[Read More](6-12-2022)

#99-Daniel Suarez won the Toyota / Save Mart 350 NASCAR Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway for his first career win career win. He led the final 26 laps and pulled away to win by nearly 4 seconds. He is the fifth foreign-born driver to win a Cup Series race.
#17-Buscher finished 2nd followed by #34-McDowell, #4-Harvick, #2-Cindric, #12-Blaney, #1-Chastain, #9-Elliott, #24-Byron, and #6-Keselowski.
Pole winner #5-Larson led 26 laps to start the race, but got off sequence from other drivers and never made it back to the front.  Late in stage two he lost a wheel following a green flag pit stop.  He finished 15th.
Stage 1 was won by #5-Larson. Stage 2 was won by #22-Logano.
There were 6 lead changes among 6 drivers and 4 cautions for 14 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 78.008mph.
