#20-Christopher Bell won the Cook Out Southern 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway. The win is his first win of the year, first at Darlington and 14th career win.
#54-Ty Gibbs finished 2nd followed by pole sitter #45-Tyler Reddick, #12-Ryan Blaney, #5-Kyle Larson, #19-Chase Briscoe, #21-Josh Berry, #23-Bubba Wallace, #22-Joey Logano, and #60-Ryan Preece.
Bell took four tires on the final pit stop of the night while Larson and three other drivers stayed out. Bell quickly moved to the front and passed Larson for the lead with 11 laps remaining. He pulled away to win by just over one second.
The race start was moved up 10 minute due to the threat of rain. Weather was not an issue for most of the race but there was a short red flag with 30 laps remaining when a light shower hit the track.
Stage 1 was won by #45-Tyler Reddick. Stage 2 was won by #20-Christopher Bell.
