#38-Todd Gillland won the inaugural Toyota Tundra 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Circuit of the Americas Saturday afternoon.
The win is his first of the season and second of his career. Gilliland, driving the #38 Ford for Front Row Motorsports, will go down in the history books as the first driver to win a NASCAR-sanctioned event on the 3.41-mile Texas track.
#02-Kaz Grala, driving the #02 Chevrolet, usually piloted by Kris Wright, finished runner-up.
Pole winner #26-Tyler Ankrum finished third.
#9-Grant Enfinger, #2-Sheldon Creed, #32-Sam Mayer, #42-Carson Hocevar, #21-Zane Smith, #16-Austin Hill, and #99-Ben Rhodes were the remainder of the top-10.
Gilliland won the opening stage. #99-Rhodes won stage 2.
There were eight lead changes among six drivers and two cautions for two yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 70.79 mph.

Despite a downpour, #26-Tyler Ankrum won the Cometic Gasket pole for the Toyota Tundra 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut race at Circuit of the Americas road course with speed of 75.041mph. It is Ankrum’s first career pole.
#02-Kaz Grala will start second, followed by #2-Sheldon Creed, #88-Matt Crafton, #38-Todd Gilliland, #4-John Hunter Nemechek, #33-Cameron Lawrence, #51-Parker Chase, #16-Austin Hill, #98-Christian Eckes closing out the top-10. #99-Ben Rhodes was 11th, the final truck to clock a lap in round two of qualifying.
The top-12 fastest trucks from round one transferred to the final round. #40-Truex was ninth fastest in round one, but lost an engine just seconds from the completion of the round. His team had to change an engine and he will drop to the rear for the start of the race.
