Christopher Bell makes a statement with dominant win in Texas: Christopher Bell shrugged off a short-lived brake problem in his No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota and cruised to a 5.635-second victory in Saturday night’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. With his eighth win of the year—a career-best for a single season—Bell locked himself into the Championship 4 Round of the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs, with the title to be decided two weeks hence at Homestead-Miami Speedway.[More](11-2-2019)
#20-Christopher won the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. The win is his 8th win of 2019, 1st XFINITY win at Texas and 16th career win. The win locks him into the Championship race at Homestead.
#10-Chastain finished 2nd followed by #22-Cindric, #19-Jones, #23-Nemechek, #7-Allgaier, #18-Burton, #00-Custer, #8-Burton, and #39-Sieg.
Stages 1 & 2 were both won by #20-Bell.
Playoff drivers having problems:
Pole winner #2-Reddick brought out the caution on lap 160 after hitting the wall. He was unable to continue and finished 29th
#98-Briscoe cut a tire and brought out the caution on lap 127. He lost a tire again with 25 laps remaining and had to pit under green. He finished 22nd
#9-Gragson slid through the infield on lap 149 and tore up the front end of the car when he hit the grass. He was unable to continue and finished 30th.
There were 9 lead changes among 4 drivers and 9 cautions for 51 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 116.543mph.
