Jack Sprague and NASCAR Winston West driver Butch Gilliland did not attempt first day of qualifying because they had not registered at the track prior to the morning draw for qualifying. Sprague attempted second day in the #52 Chevy, no idea who/if was the sponsor on the car. Gilliland did not make an attempt which is odd, because he was guaranteed a spot in the filed with a Winston West Prov(11-1-97)
