This just in from Speedworld: “After a meeting with Goodyear, the plan is to throw a competition yellow around Lap 25 to check tire wear. Although NASCAR was fairly satisfied with tire wear after the rain-shortened happy hour, the rain and the rubber laid down by the ARCA cars has everyone wondering what will happen concerning tire wear Sunday. All teams will start out with 3 sets of tires. Once they go beyond that, they get the 4th, then the 5th. When they get to the 7th and 8th set of tires, no team will get their 9th set of tires until everyone has had a chance to get their 7th and 8th sets.”(Speedworld)(11-15-97)
