Per TNN – General Manager of DW’s team, Waddell Wilson confirmed that Darrell has been asked to consider driving the #1 Pennzoil Monte Carlo in place of the recuperating Steve Park, but he also noted that, again, this is another option for the three-time Winston Cup champion to consider. He could sell his current sponsorless team outright and stay as the driver, or proceed to look elsewhere. According to Wilson, the unconfirmed buyer of the team is businessman Tim Beverly from Tyler, TX. Bechtel and a Florida businessman were also in the mix but appear now to have dropped from consideration.
