Diamond Ridge will take some time off, and will NOT compete in either Texas or Martinsville WC races. DRM will do some internal reorganization. Jeff Green will remain the driver for the WC team. A 2nd team has been started to field cars (#92 Chevy) for Sadler in 5 races, starting at Charlotte. Diamond Ridge is NOT closing. Simply restructuring due to poor performance this year. Gary Bechtel is 100% committed to fielding both Cup & BGN teams now and in the future. Elliott Sadler is NOT replacing Jeff Green at Texas or any where else. Jeff Green may substitute drive for some other teams in the meantime.(3-30-98)
