Spartanburg NASCAR Cup owner Bud Moore(#15 Ford on hiatus) is among five inductees into the S.C. Athletic Hall of Fame. Moore won three NASCAR championships as a crew chief and was key to the such safety innovations as the shoulder harness, inner tire, window net and inner fuel cell. Moore created championship cars for Joe Weatherly, Bobby Allison and Dale Earnhardt. The ceremony will be held May 21.(That’s Racin’)(4-22-98)
