I hear Jeff Fuller is in line to fill in for Joe Gibbs Racing BGN team when scheduling conflicts prevent either Tony Stewart or Bobby Labonte from running the Shell #44. Jeff is currently tutoring JD Gibbs, who will take over the ride full time in 1999. The strategy is to gain as many owner points as possible for next year’s provisionals. Also, Jeff will fill in for Stewart this weekend at Loudon if there is a rain out, which would cause conflicts with Stewart’s other racing commitments.(5-8-98)
