Robert Pressley was the fastest 2nd round qualifier and will start 27th for the Coca Cola 600. Shocker was the #28 Texaco Ford and ROTY contender Kenny Irwin missing the race, the first time the team has missed a race since Michigan in August of 1994 when Ernie Irvan crashed during practice. Billy Standridge driver of the #47 Fans Can Race Ford could not get up to speed and will also miss the race.
