Giulio Montanari, the engine tuner and race-day front tire carrier for Rick Mast’s #75 Fords, was released from Carolinas Medical Center after being hospitalized for a week. Montanari was recuperating from surgery for injuries he received in a motorcycle accident May 16 en route to Charlotte Motor Speedway for The Winston all-star race. Montanari will undergo weekly therapy while continuing to recover at his home in Mooresville.(That’s Racin’)(5-25-98)
