After more than 30 years, Joe Gibbs will get back into the cockpit of a Top Fuel dragster. The former NFL coach(and owner of the #18 Interstate Batteries Pontiac) will be in the driver’s seat of the 6,000 horsepower McDonald’s Top Fuel dragster when the team warms up the car prior to the first professional qualifying session at the inaugural NHRA Fram Route 66 Nationals at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet on Friday, May 29 at 11:45am/pm in the McDonald’s pit area, Route 66 Raceway, Joliet.(5-27-98)
