Hut Stricklin didn’t sit on the sidelines long. Stricklin, who split with car owner Billy Stavola(#8 Circuit City Chevy) last week, has signed to run at Daytona as Kenny Schrader’s teammate — and drafting partner — with car owner Andy Petree.(JournalNow) Will be #55 no idea of a sponsor, yet(5-30-98)Jerry Nadeau sat out Friday’s Winston Cup qualifying because he has a case of food poisoning. Dennis Setzer tried to get Nadeau’s No. 13 into the field, but was only 41st fastest in the first round. If Setzer qualifies the car, Nadeau will not be able to drive it. NASCAR rules prohibit a rookie from driving in a race when another
driver qualifies the car.(That’s Racin’), note Setzer attempted to qualifying in the second round and the team was one of three who failed to make the race.(5-30-98) (05-30-1998)
