The Tabasco program has been troubled from the start, and team/sponsor let starting pitcher Todd Bodine go in June. After a strange transaction which transferred car number (35), sponsor, and some equipment to Tim Beverley (buyer in April of Darrell Waltrip’s team), Waltrip now is in the car, with little improvement seen in race performance. Word is that Tabasco could end up with Bill Davis/Ward Burton, who lose sponsor MBNA after this season.( SpeedNet/Ben Blake ) (08-30-1998)
