During the Pepsi Southern 500 at Darlington, NASCAR took a tire from the #3, 24, 88 and 99 teams to inspect. No word on any results. Word from the broadcast was that NASCAR planned to do this for the remainder of the season.(ESPN during the race)(9-6-98)
