Richard Childress Racing, one of the leading NASCAR teams that competes in both the Winston Cup Series and the Craftsman Truck Series, will use PTC’s Solutions for the design-through-manufacturing development process of their three NASCAR racing teams. PTC will provide the team with software tools for mechanical design, reverse engineering, industrial design, surface modeling, and functional optimization. Richard Childress Racing will use Pro/ENGINEER Manufacturing Solutions to generate and optimize NC toolpaths for 5-axis machining of their engine blocks and race-car components.
