2nd round Cup qualifying is over at Martinsville: Eleven drivers made attempts, Kenny Wallace was the fastest 2nd round attempt at 92.655mph(would have been 23rd fastest 1st round). Of the Eleven who stood on their 1st round time, two had to use a provisional, #9-Jerry Nadeau and #75-Rick Mast. DW made the race once on time and will start 30th. The #41 Kodiak team missed the race again with David Green driving as the team is out of provisionals even though the team is 34th in OWNERS points. Cope and Nadeau had to use provisional’s and now have no more left to use until Rockingham. Dave Marcis made the race via a Provisional.(9-26-98)
