Adam Petty, son of Winston Cup veteran Kyle Petty, was rumored to be joining Dale Earnhardt Inc. Ty Norris, who manages DEI’s interests, said he talked to Petty, but it was just an exchange of information and Norris says that Petty is not driving for DEI in 1999 and they have no plans to run Petty in the BGN in 1999 and that 1999 will be the last year for DEI in the BGN series.
