#6 Truck driver Rick Carelli, was critically hurt in the Memphis Truck race Saturday. He has head injuries and is at the regional medical center in Memphis, TN(Raceday-TNN-this AM). NOL latest report from The Med hospital in Memphis at about 7pm/et Saturday was that he was awake and stable, but that he had suffered a concussion. He was being held for observation overnight and was to undergo further tests(NOL), get well Rick!(5-9-1999) – UPDATE 2: Carelli is in stable condition in Elvis Presley Trauma Center at Memphis Regional Medical Center. He has a concussion and facial injuries, and likely won’t be moved until Tuesday at the earliest(Stock Car Fans Newsletter via Racing PR) – UPDATE 2: RPM2Nite reports that Carelli remains in the hospital in guarded but stable condition, he awake and alert. – UPDATE 3: Rick Carelli is currently listed in stable condition in Elvis Presley Trauma Center at Memphis Regional Medical Center.
