The #77 Jasper Motorsports team has named Charley Pressley as interim crew chief for the Jasper Engines Ford Taurus. Pete Rondeau has been named car chief. Both will work together while the team is in the transition of naming a permanent crew chief. Bob Gulbranson, shop foreman, will continue his duties in order to focus on the preparation of the race cars and interviewing new crew chief candidates. Charley Pressley is Jasper Motorsports driver Robert Pressleys brother and this is not the first time they have worked together. Charley was Robert’s crew chief during his 1995 rookie season in the #33 Leo Jackson Skoal Bandit cars. During that tenure, they had four top-fives and sat on the front row twice. For the Coca-Cola 600, the Jasper Motorsports car will sport a much different look. Making use of the black panther mascot of Jasper Performance Products (and the Carolina Panthers), the car includes reflective decals, a mostly yellow paint job, see an image at Paint Scheme Gallery (Jasper PR)
