Bob Tracey, transport driver/gas man for Rusty Wallace’s Team Penske car, was scheduled to see an orthopedic surgeon in Charlotte, N.C., Tuesday afternoon to determine whether any additional medical procedures are necessary on his left foot he injured on pit road at Dover last week when an air gun was spun by the rear tire of Wallace’s car when the jack dropped. Tracey was initially treated in the infield medical center before being transferred to Kent General Hospital in Dover for further observation. He was diagnosed with a hairline fracture and a chipped bone on the side of his foot. Tracey was released from the Dover hospital Sunday evening and flown back to Charlotte. Doug Ingold will be moved in as gas man until Tracey returns while Earl Barban will be filling in as the transport driver( SpeedNet )
