Ron Parker announced he has signed Curtis Markham as the driver for the #72 MGM Brakes/Parker Racing team for three BGN races. Markham will kick off the three-race deal with the Lysol ?????200???? at Watkins Glen on June 27th, where he has logged in three BGN road-course races in his career with impressive qualifying positions of 4th, 18th and 17th for an average starting spot of 13th. The two other confirmed races of the three-race agreement are the DieHard ?????250???? at The Milwaukee Mile on July 4th and the Advance Auto Parts ?????250???? at Myrtle Beach on July 17th. Parker has the option to extend the agreement with Markham for the remainder of the 1999 BGN season, with the exception of Gateway (St. Louis area) on July 31st and the October 9th Charlotte race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway where Markham already has prior commitments(Parker PR)(6-18-1999)
