Hearing that Polaris will leave the #75 Cup Butch Mock(?) owned Ford and driver Ted Musgrave at the end of the year. Supposedly Polaris is forming some kind of co-operative marketing deal with DeWalt Tools and will be moving to the #17 Ford sponsored by DeWalt and the #22 Caterpillar Pontiac of Ward Burton — UPDATE: Polaris all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) will be increasing its involvement in NASCAR next year by joining Bill Davis Racing as an associate sponsor of the #22 Caterpillar Pontiac driven by Ward Burton for the 2000 season. Polaris also will become a primary sponsor of Burton’s BGN car. During the 2000 season, Polaris ATVs will be the primary sponsor for five BGN races. Ward Burton will be the newest member of “PRO Team” Polaris, an organization of top motorsports stars that represent Polaris products in the marketplace.
