When Tony Stewart took a road-racing course at the Bob Bondurant school at Sears Point, everything went well until the final five minutes, when Stewart put one of the ‘school cars’ into a concrete wall. As a result, Stewart had to put an $800 charge on boss Joe Gibbs’ Visa card. “When the bill came in, Joe told me he didn’t have any idea it cost that much to go to a road-racing school, so I finally had to ‘fess up to sticking the school car in the fence,” Stewart said( SpeedNet/Monte Dutton )
