Amick UPDATE:

Lyndon Amick was to run a 2nd Amick team car at Myrtle Beach in addition to Elliott Sadler but the damaged car (from Milwaukee) will now prevent Lyndon from running at Myrtle Beach. The team simply cannot get another car ready in time, and with several other races coming up that will require the same type of car as the one that was damaged, it was decided that the team cannot risk damaging another car by running two entries at Myrtle Beach(7-12-1999) – UPDATE: Lyndon Amick will drive the #35 SCANA/Powertel Chevy at Myrtle Beach Speedway on Saturday. Originally slated to pilot a second car(#88) for Team Amick Motorsports in the race, Amick will instead drive the #35 as the team’s lone entry. Winston Cup Series regular Elliott Sadler was scheduled to make the first of 12 Busch Series starts for Team Amick in the #35 but several factors combined to cause the team to put those plans on hold for this weekend, according to crew chief Brad Pickens. The car they planned to use as the primary for Sadler got wrecked at Milwaukee and due to a scheduling conflict, Sadler couldn’t test the car last week at the track. Team Amick still plans to have Sadler drive the #35 in 11 races in 1999. Sadler will now make his debut in the car at the Carquest Auto Parts 250 at Gateway on July 31st. Amick will drive the No. 35 in two races that conflict with Sadler’s Cup schedule. Those two events are the July 24th Pikes Peak 250 at Pikes Peak International Raceway, and the August 6th Kroger 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park. The team will enter two cars at selected races during the remainder of the season, with those dates to be announced later(Team Amick PR)(7-14-1999)
