KMart may be expanding its NASCAR sponsorship to include both of Travis Carter’s teams next season( PitNow ) — UPDATE: Car owner Travis Carter says he doesn’t know what he’ll do next season, if he and Jimmy Spencer will be back or not. Carter is looking for a new sponsor, and it appears that Kmart, which sponsors Carter’s second team with Darrell Waltrip, will back both operations next year. Spencer might be just the kind of hard-driving, devil-may-care charger that Robert Yates, for one, would like to see in one of his cars, but Spencer’s image, even after several years of good grooming by R.J. Reynolds’ marketing, is still perhaps a bit rough for some sponsors( PitNow ) — and UPDATE 2: Wally Dallenbach’s name was mentioned as a possible replacement for Jimmy Spencer in the #23 car, but Travis Carter, who will announce his new sponsor at the end of this month, said Spencer has agreed to continue with the organization next year( SpeedVision ) — UPDATE 3: Sources tell me the Kmart Will be the sponsor on the Jimmy Spencer #23 Travis Carter Ford in 2000
